Here are a few phone shots from around Malham village. The decorative bird boxes made a colourful sight on the wall of a house. Not sure if birds ever use them... I imagine it's the kind of collection that, once you start it, people keep gifting you more! Talking of birds, we saw a huge flock of goldfinches on our walk. They were feeding on meadowsweet seed heads and all flew up at our approach. A flock of goldfinches is known as a 'charm', and very charming they were.
Malham Beck runs right past this house on its way from the base of the Cove. There is a ford and a clapper bridge, an ancient walkway from one side of the village to the other.
Malham still retains a red telephone box - and it seemed to be useable for its original purpose and not converted to house a defibrillator or a little library, as some have been.
Oh my, dripping wet from an afternoon downpour probably wasn't just an aside, but must have had personal meaning! Loved these sweet soft water/village photos.
