The end of the day

Peaceful scenes and lovely reflections along the Rochdale Canal in Hebden Bridge, as we walked home from the park.

You quite often see rag dolls in the windows of narrowboats. 'Rosie and Jim' was a children's TV series in the 1990s, about two rag dolls who lived aboard a narrowboat called the Ragdoll. They came alive when no one was looking, to explore the world that they were passing by on the canal.

  2. Hello,

Pretty captures of the canal and the boats. I like the cute dolls in the window. Looks like a lovely walk. Take care, have a happy day!

  3. I am very curious as to how they lined the new second bridge arch with concrete when the original bridge was widened. If one looks carefully, the second arch is slightly higher than the original.

  4. Lovely photos that evoke peace, and a bit of curiousity. Thanks for telling me about the ragdolls. I wouldn't have known about those stories. I like how the reflection of the tall smokestack is framed in the water.
