Sunday meditation: The sound of many waters

I wear hearing aids that really amplify certain sounds. Walking near Hirst Weir, I am very aware of the thunderous sound of the water rushing over the rocks. I love the way it looks too, the pattern of flow always surging, ebbing and changing. It's mesmerising and awe-inspiring. 

I was reminded of a Bible verse - Ezekiel 43:2:

'His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory.'
