White bark

There are certain plants and vistas at Harlow Carr that catch my eye on every visit. I'm always drawn to the beautiful, slender-trunked birch trees, visually arresting with their very white bark. They are scattered throughout the gardens and they have recently planted a small grove of them by the lake, which will look splendid when they mature a bit.

  1. We have lots of birch trees in Sweden. I love them - except just now, when they're filling the air I breathe with pollen... ;)
