... apart from the temperature, that is! Nature seems to think it's summer, with all the trees in leaf and our hedgerows, meadows and gardens evolving into rampant lushness. There are huge sprays of roses in the allotments in front of Salts Mill and they should continue to flower through to the autumn. It is, however, still pretty chilly with a cold wind, so I haven't yet 'cast a clout' despite May (and may, the hawthorn blossom) being out.
