It's a while since I showed this view of Salts Mill. The allotments and trees are so lush now that they obscure quite a lot of the frontage. In the foreground is the plot that belongs to Shipley College horticultural department, which changes quite a lot as the students get to grips with various techniques and plants. The roses were looking good, as were the sculptural artichokes. We've had some wonderful skies lately and I think this pic is as much about the sky as anything.
Always enjoy seeing your photos of the mill, Jenny, more so since we live in a former mill ourselves.
ReplyDeleteYes, if it didn't have that patch of blue sky it would be kind of depressing.
ReplyDeleteA very pleasant view.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great sky, Jenny.
