As I was passing through Leeds railway station recently, I noticed this display of colourful globes, decorated by young people at various schools in Leeds, and accompanied by some poems. It is part of a project, 'The World Reimagined', celebrating the richness and diversity of Africa, and learning about the slave trade and Leeds’ historic links. It seeks to understand and learn from the past, reimagining the future of the world rooted in unity and diversity. Fine sentiments and rather wonderful art work.
I also noticed a similar globe outside the Corn Exchange, so perhaps there are more scattered through the city centre.
Fabulous to see the world reimagined!
