My usually fairly boring walk to the supermarket was somewhat enlivened recently by spotting these huge lighting rigs outside Shipley's Town Hall. They were directing light into windows on the upper floor. The number of white production trucks around the streets pointed to more filming being done. The security guard I spoke to didn't know what was being filmed but a bit of detective work when I got home gave me the answer. It's an ITV thriller series called 'Malpractice', being made by World Productions, the company behind the very successful 'Line of Duty' series. It stars Niamh Algar and is about the investigation of a doctor on a nightmare shift that ended in the death of an opioid overdose victim. 'Malpractice explores the inevitable pressure-cooker created when doctors under investigation are forced to second-guess their clinical decisions, justify their every action but carry on with the day job as normal.' Sounds a bit gloomy but these dramas are usually very compelling, with many twists in the story. Read about it HERE.
On occasion there's a film or television series done here.
