Pride and joy

Not far from Harold Park we walked past this amazingly colourful garden, a riot of bright container-grown plants. It must take some watering to keep it looking so good. It's obviously someone's pride and joy and must lift the spirits of all who pass by.

  1. Extraordinary. One day my back yard will look like that - maybe.

  2. It does brighten up the concrete and brick work. As you say quite time consuming but a lovely outcome.

  3. Surely many of these lovely plants have been "carried over" the winter months and will become stronger with each passing year. This is a lovely display. My three copper begonia are now in their fourth year and flourishing.

  4. The work to water all of those is amazing.

  5. What a lovely container garden...it reassures me that containers are a great way to grow lovely things. I'm begrudging mine about now, as the flowers either go to seed, or just look bedraggled here.
