Early autumn


Early autumn... Sunshine and showers, leaves beginning to yellow


and an abundance of berries on the hawthorn. I think the hot, dry summer has stressed the plants so they think they must produce lots of chances for future survival.

  2. I agree with Vicki Lane; the second photo is of an enchanted forest!
    Yesterday on my way home from work I found the first horse chestnuts on the ground, all glossy and smooth, just fallen off the tree - a sure sign of autumn here.
