There's plenty to do in Saltaire even on a rainy day, at least on the days that Salts Mill is open (usually Wednesdays to Sundays). I can happily while away a couple of hours browsing the bookshop and galleries, forgetting the rain and the dire state of the world! Coming down the stairs in the mill offers this view, looking over the Victoria Road railway bridge to the shops and houses beyond. Any spots on the image are from the dirty window and the rain, rather than my camera sensor!
And railway bridges are over tracks which are used there. Our tracks nearby have not been repaired after the storm damage last September...and may not be, the rumors have said. Nearby the tracks go around many curves and through many tunnels going through mountains which hold the eastern continental divide. I wonder if your trains have frequent whistles as they cross roadways. Ours had certain signals of short and long mixed in a pattern to mean a road crossing. Ooh I've diverted completely again. The photo is great for having that road going off in one directions and the tracks disappearing in another.
